Urn style vase, appears black, but when light is inside it is deep red

This vase appears black, but when lights are put inside it is a deep red. I handwashed it but there is still some weird film inside. Stands a 7″ tall and about 4.5″ wide.
Has some minor scuffing and a weird run down the side, can be seen in photos.
